How did you realize you wanted to be a designer?
In high school, I had always focused on marketing and business classes/organizations. However, I started taking more art classes to relieve stress and found out that I was actually doing good work and enjoyed the process of creating. My last few weeks of high school, I changed my major/focus towards graphic design.

How would you describe your style or approach to design?
I want to make a difference in the way people experience design.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Set goals for yourself and meet all of them. You will never have any regrets.

What is your best way to break out of a creative rut?
Sleep! It allows your subconsious mind to take over and eliminates the outside elements causing you to be “in a rut.”

Where do you draw inspiration for your work?
I want to say everywhere, but it really depends on the project and all of the research that I have acquired along the way.

What are some of the challenges of freelance design?
You do everything and are expected to do everything well. To clarify: You are required to be marketing and working, at the same time, in order to keep the projects consistently flowing.

If you could tell a graphic design student on thing, what would it be?
Take risks and enjoy the outcome—good or bad at least you tried.
